Drive-In

We took our kids + 1 to the drive-in Saturday. It was really stinkin' cold-around 50 degrees when we got there and it dropped all the way to 47 by the time we left. Everyone was snuggled up with their blankets and pillows and I began to think a Suburban was no where near big enough. I was holding my breath waiting for the "he breathed on me", "she stink-eyed me" drama to begin. We had a ball though. My parents used to take me to the drive-in and I remember wearing my jammies. My kids would rather be shaved bald than leave the house in their jammies, but I always thought that was fun!

I don't know what it is about nose pickin' that is so hilarious, but they think it is. They look like crazy children to me.

We saw I Am Legend and August Rush. Legend was fair-I was on the edge of my seat a couple of times, but it could have been MORE. August Rush was way too sappy for me. If you like cheesey and cornball then this movie is for you. Well, my girl is here with me as I am blogging and she said she loved it.

Hi Kim
I love this post. I can remember going to the drive inn movies in my pjs also. I would lay on the floor board of the car with a blankit over me so my parents wouldnt have to pay for me. O, come on havent you ever fibed about how old your kids are to get in for 2.00? OMG, I'm sooo bad. I still think you have the cuteist kids !

I haven't been to a drive-in in ages! I don't even think we have them here in O.C. anymore!
What fun...

Hi Priscilla! Thanks for stopping by! This drive-in has been in our area for many years and I only discovered it this summer. It is lots of fun and I am so glad I get to share that particular joy with my kiddos. There doesn't seem to be too much from my childhood that kids think is "cool" anymore.
